Challenges to Girls’ Education in Pakistan

Visualization Design, UX, UI Design

The Worldbank publishes a large number of written reports on various humanitarian topics. In this project, I was approached by analysts from the Education Global Practice at the Worldbank to create interactive visual story from a printed report on the challenges to Girls’ Education in Pakistan. The digital story we created consists of 8 interactive visualizations that allow a quicker and more casual and exploration of the insights from the extensive written report.

What are the major challenges to girls’ education in Pakistan? How is the situation different from that in other countries? How do school enrolment rates vary by gender, province, age and family income? And why are girls so often left behind?
